Sadie L. Bowling, 75, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on August 14, 1944 in Perry County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Dale Deaton and Meade Mae (Barger) Deaton. Sadie was married on June 11, 1958 to Harrison T. Bowling, who preceded her in death on October 10, 2017. They raised six children and were blessed to have spent 59 years together. Sadie was a homemaker and former owner and operator of the old Sycamore Run Daycare in Scottsburg, Indiana for over 15 years. She liked to fish and work in her flower gardens. Sadie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Sadie was preceded in death by three brothers, James Robert, Buckie and Randy Deaton and a sister, Dorothy Bowling. Survivors include two sons, Donald R. Bowling of Scipio, Indiana and Tracy L. Bowling and his wife Cindy of Scottsburg, Indiana; four daughters, Joyce Zuckschwerdt and husband Chester and Sandy Hall and husband Jeff all of Austin, Indiana, Marcy Fryfogle and husband Russ and Carey Bowling all of Scottsburg, Indiana; three brothers, Marshall Deaton of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, David Deaton and wife Kathy and Raymond Deaton and wife Linda all of Scottsburg, Indiana; 19 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private and for immediate family only due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, CDC recommendations, State and Local government mandates and the families wishes.
