Samantha Rene Land, 45, of Austin, Indiana passed away on October 25, 2025. She was born on June 26, 1980, in Scottsburg, Indiana, to Marion Barger and Teresa (Pike) Roper. She was a member of the Trinity House of God in Austin, Indiana. She earned an associate's degree in business management and enjoyed a fulfilling career in property management, she also worked as a Pharmacy Tech at CVS in Scottsburg, Indiana. Rene loved traveling with her husband, big cats, and doing her hair and makeup. A devoted wife and mother, Rene poured her heart into her family, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. She had an extraordinary ability to lift the spirits of those around her. Above all, Rene loved her family fiercely. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gabriel Land; her mother, Teresa Roper (Jeff); and her father, Marion Barger. Her legacy continues through her children: Jonathan Vincent, Kayla Vincent, Christopher Sego, Gaberiel Land, Kaydence Land, and Taylor Barger and her two grandchildren, Theo and Ellie. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Barger (Erica); her stepfather, Glenn Morris; her mother-in-law, Peggy Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Pat Barger; sister, Jenny Holland; father-in-law, Ronald Land; and brother-in-law, Joe Land. Funeral services for Rene will be held at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. A public viewing is scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The public is invited to gather again on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Following the service, Rene will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
