Sarah Nellie Lamb, 98, of Lexington, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born to Osco and Vena Crawley on April 29, 1925 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. At the age of four her family moved to Oklahoma. On January 19,1946 she married Sherman Lamb, who passed away on February 16,1988. They moved to Indiana in July of 1952 and from 1960 to 1977 Sherman and Nellie owned Lamb service station and grocery store. Nellie attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Scottsburg, Indiana. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jeanie Vojkufka; one sister, Anna Stepnick; one brother, Wilber Joe Crawley and son-in-law, Donnie Eldridge. Survivors include one son, Sherman Lynn (Tracee) Lamb of Scottsburg, Indiana; two daughters, Patsy (Edward) Hiler of Lexington, Indiana and Cheryl Eldridge of Marysville, Indiana; one brother, Glen Crawley of Lexington, Indiana; two sisters, Lela Dillman of Shelbyville, Indiana and Sue Trowbridge of Underwood, Indiana; nineteen grandchildren, seventy-seven great grandchildren; and twenty-eight great great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Jeff Crawley and Todd Trowbridge officiating. Visitation: 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2023 and after Noon on Sunday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
