Shane Daryl Yonts, 45, passed away on December 23, 2024, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on June 23, 1979, in Madison, Indiana, to Paul Yonts and Karen (Combs) Yonts, who survives. Shane graduated from Scottsburg Senior High School in 1997 and went on to earn a HVAC degree from Ivy Tech. He was a self-employed HVAC technician, working with dedication and passion at Custom Heating and Cooling. His skills as a jack of all trades were admired by many, as he continuously sought to fix and improve everything around him. Shane was also an avid wrestling fan and loved watching WWE. Shane is preceded in death by his sister, Wendi Fields; brother-in-law, Kenny Ross; niece and nephew, Laikyn Rochelle and Joshua Ross. In addition to his parents, Shane is survived by son, Grayson Yonts; one brother, Duane (Faith) Yonts of Austin, Indiana; one sister, Tamra Ross of Sellersburg, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews, Joshua (Rachael) Yonts, Casey (Dixon) Sterling, Derek Ross, Lakesha (Tyler) Holland, Skyla (Dustin) Fields, Kendra (Aaron) Ross, and Cameron Doane. Cremation was entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Collins Family Center from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Memorial donations can be made in Shane's name to any Scott County Addiction Recovery Facility in c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
