Sheila Kay (Dean) Kahl, 76, of Charlestown, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on December 1, 1945 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Woodrow and Alice (Sharp) Dean. Sheila spent most of her school career in Scottsburg at Scottsburg High School but graduated from Charletown High School in 1966. She retired as a cook at Charlestown Middle School in Charlestown, Indiana where she worked for over 35 years. Sheila was a proud member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Marysville, Indiana. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Annetta Robinson; and sister, Brenda Wallace. Survivors include her son, Douglas (Vicky) Kahl of Sellersburg, Indiana; sister, Toni (Ron) Wetzel of Elkhart, Indiana; two grandchildren, Tyler Kahl (Olivia) and Alicia Bailey (Eric); four great grandchildren, Owen, Summer, Sarah, and Kayli; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday at 11:00 am until service at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
