Shirley Baker, 83, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on February 27, 1937 in Perry County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Andy Holland and Rosie (Watkins) Davidson. Shirley was a homemaker and a member of the Scottsburg Church of God. Before her health made it impossible, she was very involved with her church and actively participated in the activities at the Austin Senior Citizen Center. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Baker; a brother, Arlie Holland; two sisters, Eule Mae Atkinson and Anna Lou Blackwell and a hlf brother, Harold Holland. Survivors include her daughter Teresa Schickel and her husband Robert of Lanesville, Indiana; a half sister, Patty Holland McNeely of Lexington, Indiana; three grandchildren, Kevin Smith (Heather), Lisa Barnes (Dustin) and Matthew Schickel (Janna) and eight great grandchildren, Cooper, Carter and Camden Smith, Samuel and Andrew Barnes, Olivia, Isabella and Clara Schickel. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to either Amedysis Hospice, Scottsburg Church of God or the Diabetes Foundation c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
