Shirley Ann Kern

Shirley Ann Kern, 94, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, at Hampton Oaks Nursing Home in Scottsburg. She was born on October 19, 1931, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the beloved daughter of Charles and Ione Kern.

Shirley was a devoted member of The First Baptist Church in Scottsburg, where she found joy and fellowship throughout her life. Known for her warmth and kindness, she was a wonderful homemaker who dedicated herself to her family, creating a loving and nurturing home.Shirley was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brothers; Dick Kern(Paula), Ross Kern(Vickie); uncle Robert Richards(Barb); neices, Belinda Houchins(Ronnie), Traci Kelley(Sandy); nephews, Reid Kern(Jennifer), Ryan Kern(Kristin); cousin, Steve Richards(Loretta).There will be a visitation on Monday, September 14, 2026 from 10-12pm at Collins Funeral Home. There will be a private graveside to follow at Scottsburg Cemetery.
