Sirilda Terry, 92, of Austin, Indiana passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on January 29, 1929 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Farmer Deaton and Lilly (Kilburn) Deaton. In 1947, she married Wayne Terry, who passed away in 1989. Sirilda loved being a homemaker and farmers wife. She was a former employee of Morgan Foods in Austin, Indiana. In addition to her parents, Sirilda was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Deaton; six sisters, Bertha Baker, Laura Begley, Minnie Davidson, Flossie Witten, Sara Blanton, and Jewell Sebastian. Survivors include her caretaker, Pauline Fox of Austin, Indiana; numerous other nieces and nephews and friends who helped care for her, Dale and MaryEtta Hall from Underwood, Indiana. She especially loved watching and caring for Teresa Blanton-Barrett, Ross St. Clair, and Morgan Stanley. Funeral Services will be at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Reverend Ronnie Oplinger officiating.
