Stanley Hazelwood, 75, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on March 25, 1947 in Jackson County , Indiana, the son of the late Ellis Samuel and Carlie (McConahay) Hazelwood. Stanley graduated from Austin High School in Austin, Indiana. After graduating, he served two years in the army. He was an employee of Cummins Engine in Columbus, Indiana when he retired after 38 years. Stanley enjoyed go-cart racing, cars, building houses, and spending time with family. On January 26, 1971 he married the love of his life Patsy (Feltner) Hazelwood, who survives. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Linda Gilbert, Tammy Hazelwood, and Ruth Ann Combs; and brother Franklin Hazelwood. In addition to his wife of 51 years, Patsy (Feltner) Hazelwood, he is survived by his three children, Renee' (Josh) Sparkman of Scottsburg, Indiana, Eric Hazelwood of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Jennifer (Ethan) Roll of Scottsburg, Indiana; eleven grandchildren, Alex, Brandon, Kaden, Grant, Erionna, Sadie, Sydney, Sedric, Simon, Cameron, and Greyson; four sisters, Nancy White of Scottsburg, Indiana, Eva Johnson of Scottsburg, Indiana, Martha Alvey of Seymour, Indiana, and Ella Sturdevant of Austin, Indiana; and several nieces, nephew and cousins. Funeral Service: 6:00 pm Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Matthew Craig officiating. Visitation: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home. Following the service cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
