Steve A. Mosier, 64, of Madison, Indiana, formerly of Scottsburg, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at his residence. He was born on February 14, 1956 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Melvin Earl Mosier and Hazel Carol (Stamper) Mosier. Steve graduated from Scottsburg High School in the Class of 1974. He was a former supervisor for the old Scottsburg Foundry in Scottsburg, Indiana, where he worked for over 20 years and also had worked at Madison Precision in Madison, Indiana. Steve liked to play cards and bowling. He also enjoyed being outdoors and liked fishing and hunting mushrooms. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Mosier. Survivors include his companion, Teresa Jester of Madison, Indiana; two daughters, Erica Cook and husband Kevin of Sellersburg, Indiana and Kayla Hardin and husband Colt of Scottsburg, Indiana; a son, David Mosier of Salem, Indiana; a sister, Kim Richey and husband Ted of Scottsburg, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Karson, Hadley, Palynn, Kelsie, Skylee and Madison and several great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at: 2:00 pm on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Scottsburg Cemetery. Social distancing guidelines will be required for all persons attending the graveside service due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, CDC recommendations, State and Local government mandates and the family's wishes.
