Steven "Pat" Bridgewater, 72, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 16th, 2021, at Baptist Health Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on January 31,1949, to the late James and Phyllis (Stine) Bridgewater in Lexington, Indiana. Pat graduated from Scottsburg High School and was retired from the State of Indiana Highway Department. He was a very dedicated farmer for most of his life. He was very active in the community, and served as District 3 councilman. Pat was an active member of the Scott County Moose #2324. He loved mowing his yard, grilling, a nice cold beer, karaoking, being with family and friends and always having a good time and helping anyone he could. He was a loyal IU fan and loved watching sports (if it was not Kentucky) and coaching. For many years, you could find him every morning at Leroy's in Lexington for the guy's round table meeting, as he would call it. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Mike Bridgewater; and his daughter, Gina Bridgewater. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer (John) Zemlin of Lawton, Oklahoma; one brother, Jerry Bridgewater of Lexington, Indiana; two nieces, Kim (Joe) Keller and Kristy Bridgewater; three grandsons, Chris (Jordan), Noah and Dylan; two great grandchildren, Espen and Henley; and 6 great nieces and nephews, Olivia, Chase, Logan, Garrison, Sydney and Addison. A Celebration of Life will be at the Moose Lodge in Scottsburg, Indiana on Friday, July 23rd, at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to come share stories/memories of him.
