Steven Rigsby, 73, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on December 31, 1946 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Murl Rigsby and Wanda (Brock) Rigsby. Steve graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1965 and then served during the Vietnam War as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner and operator of the old Video Voyages in Scottsburg, Indiana from 1988-2000. Steve enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Rigsby; a son, Christopher Todd Rigsby; a stepson, Tyler Hamelman and a brother, Ben Rigsby. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Leslie (Neel) Rigsby; a son, Scott (Cassandra) Rigsby of Valparaiso, Indiana; four daughters, Heather Rigsby, Kristie (Jeff) Richardson and Dawn Rigsby all of Scottsburg, Indiana and Teri Graham of Sarasota, Florida; a brother, Brad (Theresa) Rigsby of Scottsburg, Indiana; eleven grandchildren, Matthew Mager, Christopher and Perry Rigsby, Lauren Miles, Kinsey Juntunen, Zane and Brayden Hamelman, Amber Richardson, Kayla George, Marley Grant and Mya Graham. A celebration of Steve's life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive mandate.
