Sue Carol Jones, 87 of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Lake Pointe Village. She was born August 12, 1933 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harve Richey and Ottie (Mount) Richey. Sue Carol graduated from Scottsburg High School in the Class of 1951. She was married on Nov. 11, 1951 to Paul Jones, who preceded her in death on October 9, 1988. Sue was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church, where she served on the Courtesy Committee. She wrote many letters of concern and appreciation on behalf of the church. Sue was a very compassionate lady that sincerely cared about others and a devoted contributor to multiple charities and groups. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Emerson Richey and a sister, Lucille Richey. Survivors include her son, Dennis D. Jones of Scottsburg, Indiana; her companion of 30 years, Jim Dailey of Crothersville, Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews. Private interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
