Sue Ann Rose, 76, of Scottsburg, Indiana, a beloved mother, devoted volunteer, and cherished friend, passed away on February 18, 2025, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana with her family by her side. She was born on March 3, 1948 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late James Mount and Mary Dix. As a dedicated volunteer at the Scott County Humane Society and the Pet Pantry, Sue's love for animals was evident in everything she did. She had a heart of gold, loved her family, supported those around her, and was always ready to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on. Her passions extended beyond her community service. Sue had an adventurous soul, loved to travel, and was always eager to make new memories with those near to her. She found great joy in exploring new places, had a love for cruises with her family, and enjoyed bragging about her big wins at the slot machines. These experiences enriched her life and allowed her to create cherished moments with her family and friends. In addition to her parents Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rose; father of her children, Charles "Chic" Holland; and brother, Gary Mount. Sue is survived by her four children, Jana (Rodney) Grammer, Justin (Dionna) Holland, Jason (Anna) Holland, and Natasha (Kyle) Grider; five grandchildren, Whitney (Alfredo) Santos, Courtney (Shane) Weedman, Micah (Maddy) Grammer, Ambrose (Chase) Schneider, and Lexi Holland; several great grandchildren; and father of her youngest daughter, Phillip Bowman. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana from 10:00am to 11:00am. There will be a private family burial following the visitation at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana. Memorial donations can be made in Sue's name to the Scott County Humane Society Cat Shelter in c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
