Thelma Lorine Johnson, 89, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away in the early morning of July 14, 2024. She was born on January 13th, 1935 in Grapevine, Kentucky, to the late Eli New and Corsa (Napier) New. Thelma was a member of Valley Settlement Baptist Church in Deputy, Indiana. In addition to her parents Thelma was proceeded in death by her husband, Floyd Johnson; two sons, Eugene Johnson and Russell Johnson; a daughter, Barbara Ann Johnson; and two brothers, Russell and Ralph New. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Johnson of Scottsburg, Indiana and Pam Owens of Austin Indiana; a sister, Eula New; brother, Glenn New; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 2:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation  Friday, July 19,2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home and on Saturday at 1:00 pm prior to the service.
