Thelma Jean Richie-Marcum, 82, of Worthville Kentucky, formerly of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana. She was born on April 28, 1937 in Altro, Kentucky, the daughter of the late James Turner and Callie (Watts) Turner. Thelma graduated from Deputy High School, was a homemaker and had also worked as a cook at many area restaurants over the years. She was a member of the Worthville Baptist Church, liked to fish, play Bingo and go to yard sales and auctions. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Richie; her second husband, Roy Marcum; a daughter, Sherrie Hall; a son, Eugene Richie; a stepson, David Marcum; three sisters, Eulah Turner, Beulah Elkins and Cledia Morgan and three brothers, O.V., Thomas and James Turner, Jr. Survivors include a son. James Richie (Susan) of Scottsburg, Indiana; two stepdaughters, Crystal Broughton (Steve) of Worthville, Kentucky and Carol Sue Richey (Jeff) of Grant County, Kentucky; two sisters, Wanda Marcum of Deputy, Indiana and Louise Suter (Roy) of Lexington, Indiana; three brothers, G.B. Turner (Jenny) of Worthville, Kentucky, Kenny Turner and George Turner (Patricia) all of Bedford, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private and for immediate family only due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, CDC recommendations, State and Local government mandates and the families wishes.
