Theodore B. "Ted" Davisson, 89, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at his residence. He was born on December 25, 1932, in Jennings County, Indiana, the son of the late Frank and Mabel (Barber) Davisson. Ted graduated from Scottsburg High School class of 1951, and then served during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. On March 23, 1957, he married Norma Grace (Barton) Davisson, who survives. He was a retired Machinist for Cummins Engine Company, where he worked for 36 years, retiring in 1992. Ted was also a farmer through the years. He was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church near Scottsburg, Indiana, National Rifle Association, and the Hereford Cattle Association. In addition to his parents Ted is preceded in death by his son, Steven Davisson, two brothers, Elmer and Bradford Davisson; and sister, Margaret Baker. In addition to his wife, Norma, he is survived by two sons, Timothy L. Davisson of Sterling, Virginia and David B. (Patti) Davisson of Center Hill, Florida; daughter-in-law, Michelle Davisson of Salem, Indiana; ten grandchildren, J., Chelise, Andrew, Tyler, Matthew, Michael and Sarah Davisson, Brooke Martindale, Ted Pentzer and Whitney Crane; and eight great grandchildren, Kelsie, Colton, Brooklyn, Jaden, Hunter, River, Wrenley, and Eloise. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with John Lowry officiating. Visitation: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, February 2, 2022, and after 10:00 am Thursday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
