Thomas J. Amos, Jr., 69, of Lexington, Indiana passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. Thomas was born on February 16, 1954 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late Thomas J. Amos Sr. and Goldie (Adams) Amos. He was retired from Morgan Foods in Austin, Indiana. Thomas was a member of Free Pentecostal Church of God in Austin, Indiana. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his sheep but most of all loved his family. On February 18, 1984 he married, Patricia M. (Miller) Amos, who survives. He was preceded in death by his parents. Thomas is survived by his wife, Patricia M. (Miller) Amos; five sons, TJ (Julie) Amos of New Albany, Indiana, James (Janette) Amos of Salem, Indiana, Eugene (Lisa) Amos of Scottsburg, Indiana, Gary Amos of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Raymond (Alicia) Noble of Scottsburg, Indiana; three daughters, Terri (Keith) Rein of Sellersburg, Indiana, Sherri (Allen) Lowe of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Billie Jo (Darrel) Cochran of Lexington, Indiana; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm with Pastor Johnny Bowling & Richard Jones officiating.
