Thomas Ray Bowyer, 72, of Marysville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on September 10, 1947 in Madison, Indiana, the son of the late Ralph Bowyer and Alma (Daughterty) Bowyer. Tom was a retired truck driver for Haas Cabinet Company in Sellersburg, Indiana, where he worked for 27 years. He also had worked as a security guard and groundskeeper at the Clark County Fairgrounds and helped many farmers around the area on their farms. Tom had attended the Elizabeth Baptist Church and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He and his wife enjoyed riding their side by side and participated in many charity rides over the years. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Theresa F. (Plant) Bowyer; three sons, Pete Bowyer (Sandy), Eric Bowyer (Teresa Crail) and James Bowyer all of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Susie Haney (Steve) of Crothersville, Indiana; four sisters, Jane Tabor of New Washington, Indiana, Barbara Kemp of Sellersburg, Indiana, Mary James (Bill) of Henryville, Indiana and Brenda Woolridge (Rich) of Clarksville, Indiana; fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one on the way. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a grandson, Bub Haney and a brother, Rusty Bowyer. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
