Thomas Michael Carter, 76, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024 at his home.

Mike was born in Scottsburg, IN on October 10, 1947 to the late Donald and Nadine Carter. Mike married Jeanie Carter in Pierre, South Dakota on November 24, 1976.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marsha Carter; and sister, Sheri Shirley. Mike is survived by his wife; three children, Michelle (Justin) Carter Seurer of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, David Carter of Mitchell, South Dakota, and Mazie Carter of Scottsburg, Indiana; six grandchildren Zoey Seurer, Leon Brown, Summer Seurer, Carter Hunley, Sophia Carter, and Dakotah Carter.

He was a member of Fairview Christian Church in Underwood, Indiana.

Graveside services will be conducted at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana on May 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Cremation services have been entrusted to the caring staff of Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
