Tommy L. Rogers, 84, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on December 3, 1936 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Milton Tommy Rogers and Venice (Stoner) Rogers. Tommy was very active in his local community and kind to everyone he met. He was a retired employee of Cummins Engine Company for 27 years in Columbus, Indiana and part time police officer. He also retired from Rogers Liquor Stores in Scottsburg and Crothersville, where he and his wife owned and operated. He was a member of the Safe Harbor Christian Church in Memphis, Indiana. Tommy was a 1st Sergeant in the Indiana Army Reserve. He was a former member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Scottsburg Volunteer Fire Department, Moose Family Center # 2324, Amick-Baker-Kellams Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #156, American Legion Post # 234, and mens Auxiliary Member of the Scott County V.F.W. Post # 6582. In addition to his parents Tommy is preceded in death by a son, Richard L. "Ricky" Rogers and one granddaughter, Angela Rogers. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Cassie (Napier) Rogers of Scottsburg, Indiana; daughter, Debra L. Rogers of Indianapolis, Indiana; son, David L. Rogers of Scottsburg, Indiana; brother, Randall G. Rogers of Madison, Indiana; three grandchildren, Christina L. Dalton, Jaime Schenk, and Steven Rogers; and two great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home.
