Vera Ann Rigsby Rogers passed from this life to her wonderful eternal life with her Lord, Jesus Christ on December 18, 2023 at the age of 78. She was cared for at Hampton Oaks in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Vera gave her life to Jesus Christ as a teenager at the UAB Church in Seymour, Indiana and baptized near Freetown, Indiana. She graduated from Seymour Senior High School in 1964. In 1967 she graduated from the school of nursing from Marion County General Hospital to become a registered nurse.

Vera was a member of Scottsburg United Methodist Church. Throughout her life she ministered to children about how much the Lord loves them.

She was married in 1968 to Allan Bruce Rogers for 55 wonderful years. Her life was centered around her two daughters Alisa Marie Morgan and Alanna Elisabeth Feltes, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and of course her Lord and Savior.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Maggie Lee (Seegers) Rigsby; her daughter, Alisa Marie Rogers Morgan; son in law, Joseph "Joey" Feltes; and sister, Pam Stanfield.

She is survived by her husband, A. Bruce Rogers of 55 years; daughter, Alanna (James) Feltes; son in law, Delmar Morgan; brother, Daniel (Rita) Rigsby; sister in law, Sandra Beckort; brother in law, Tom Stanfield; grandchildren, Hunter and Ethan Morgan, Brandt and Jadyn Feltes, Daniel, Trevin, Kendra, Coen Jones; nephews, Shawn (Jennifer) Patterson, Creighton (Alicia) Patterson, Billy (Nita) Patterson, Dan (Danielle) Rigsby, Matthew (Angel) Rigsby, Phillip (Aimee) Rigsby, Greg (Melanie) Eckelman, Jason (Carrie) Beckort; and nieces, Sarah (Chris) Lockman, and Shera (Ramblyn) Rose.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home. Visitation: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
