Violet Marie Davis, 87, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on July 28, 1933 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late James Gilbert Williams and Lillie Mae (Everitt) Williams. Violet was married to Arthur Paul Davis, who passed away on August 5, 2002. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana and a homemaker. Violet was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Lou Stanley and three sisters, Joyce Pauline Owens, Kay Allen, and Anna Louis Kimberlin. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Silakowski of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Jane Bridgewater of Scottsburg, Indiana; three grandchildren, Cris Dotson, Cristy Spence, and Brian Silakowski; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Spence and Trace Seaver. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Billy Owens officiating. Visitation: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home.
