Wanda Faye Combs, 80, passed away on June 6, 2024, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on August 23, 1943 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, to the late Edgar Barrett and Hazel (Deaton) Barrett. Wanda married Darrell Combs on September 17,1960. Wanda was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, camping, and gardening with flowers. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrell Combs;daughter, Melissa Smith; three brothers, Bobby, Danny, and Donald Barrett; two sisters Frieda Parker and Kathy Hensley; and grandchild, Diana Combs. Wanda is survived by her son, Ricky Combs; two daughters, Debbie Smith and Mary Jenkins; two sisters, Carolyn and Barbara Barrett; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral service to celebrate Wanda's life will be held on Tuesday, June 11,2024 at 2:00 pm with Joe Arevalos officiating. Visitation Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 11:00 am until time of service at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Interment to follow service at Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
