Willard "Will" A. Gay, 72, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on March 8, 1950, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, the son of the late Dudley and Frances Magdalene (French) Gay. After graduating from Scottsburg High School Willard served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. He retired from Cummins Inc. in Columbus, Indiana after thirty years of employment working in the electrical department as a robotics mechanic. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Willard loved animals of all kinds. He also enjoyed hunting, being out in nature, and having a good laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include brother, Bill (Nancy) Gay of Shoals, Indiana; friend who was like a daughter, Cindy (Tim) Johnson of Borden, Indiana. Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Phil Ellis officiating. Visitation: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday, May 30, 2022 and after 10:00 am Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
