William "Bill" Pumphrey, 63, of Austin, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at his residence. He was born on May 28, 1960 in New Albany, Indiana, son of the late Elvin Ray Pumphrey and Anna Mae (Jonas) Pumphrey, who survives. Bill enjoyed spending his time hunting squirrels and riding around on his UTV. On August 9, 1980 he married Jennifer (Hensley) Pumphrey, who survives. He was preceded in death by his father; three sisters, Lisa, Linda and Ann; two brothers, Donnie and Butch. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Jennifer (Hensley) Pumphrey; mother, Anna Mae Pumphrey of Austin, Indiana; son, Billy (Lisa) Pumphrey of Austin, Indiana; brother, Roger Pumphrey of Jeffersonville, Indiana. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Kali and Dominic Pumphrey. Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
