William "Bill" Ficht

William E. "Bill" Ficht, 83, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on December 22, 2025, at Norton Scott Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on November 3, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Gustave J. Ficht and Ollie R. (Cox) Ficht. Bill worked for the old Julian's Standard Station for over 19 years and then went on to retire from the Walmart in Scottsburg, Indiana. Together with his wife, Marie, Bill was a devout Catholic being a member of the American Martyrs Catholic Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Bill also served in the United States Military. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Marilane Marie (DiBenedetto) Fitch, of fifty-four and a half years. He is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass for William E. "Bill" Ficht will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 11am at American Martyrs Catholic Church, 270 S. Bond St., Scottsburg, Indiana: Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 4-7pm at Collins Funeral Home and on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 10-10:45am.
