William E. "Bill" Scott, 77, passed away on December 15, 2025, at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on July 22, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio, to the late William E. Scott, Sr. and Violet B. (Koeller) Scott. Bill graduated from Franklin High School in 1966 in Franklin, Ohio. Bill spent his professional life in maintenance, primarily serving the Scott County School District 2. Earlier in his career, he also worked at the old Cardinal nursing home, providing a steady hand in ensuring the comfort and safety of residents. A man of many passions, Bill had a particular fondness for classic cars, owning a 1968 Ford Mustang GT that he proudly purchased new. He found joy in camping, embracing the great outdoors and creating cherished memories with family and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jeanette Gilford. He is survived by his devoted wife, Eva Scott; two sons, William E "Scottie" Scott and Roy Gregory Scott; a step son, James Louis Crowley, Jr.; one step daughter, Angela Kraft; four brothers, Michael Scott, Steve Scott, Terry (Susan) Scott, and Lawrence (Elaine) Scott; two sisters, Rebecca (Philip) Banks and Mary (Kevin) Ballmar; five grandsons, Michael (Jeniffer) Crowley, Tony Crowley, Billy (Melissa) Wagers, Bradley Crowley, and Jeremy Scott; and three great grandchildren. Funeral service for Bill will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 1:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be on Friday prior to the service from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at New Providence Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
