Wilmer "Bud" Newman, 87, of Lexington, Indiana passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on August 14, 1933 in Hanover, Indiana, the son of the late Wilmer Newman and Evelyn M. (Robbins) Newman. He was a retired truck driver for R.B. Cruisers in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Bud was a member of the Paynesville Christian Church in Paynesville, Indiana and the American Legion Post # 9 in Madison, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Newman; two sons, Mark and Bobby Newman; and two sisters, Betty Rogers and Mary C. Powers. Survivors include two daughters, Diana Newman of Lexington, Indiana and Linda (Keith) Porter of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; two sons, Larry Newman of Nabb, Indiana and Charles Newman of Lexington, Indiana; two brothers, Orville Newman of Madison, Indiana and Raymond Newman of Hanover, Indiana; his good friend, Ethel Golden; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 11:00 am on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation: 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Paynesville, Indiana.
